Puya raymondii
Puya (Puya raymondii: Bromeliaceae) Worlds largest bromeliad. My wife Gretchen standing between them. Vegetatively they stand about 3 m (10 ft ft) tall with inflorescence they can reach 15 m tall (49.0 ft). Cordillera Blanca, Huascarn National Park, Carpa Unit, southeast of Pachacoto, Ancash, Per. Valleys and mountains covered with puna grassland ca. 4,203 m (13,789 ft).

Wow, never seen anything like them before!! Your good lady is really dwarfed by those giant bromeliads!! Excellent find, setting & shot; Stanley!! tfs.

It's so lovely to meet Gretchen, Stanley, but goodness, she's dwarfed by these Puya, isn't she!!!
