Young Koala feeding (Phascolarctos cinereus)

This young Koala,while still clinging on to his mother,is feeding on some fresh Eucalyptus leaves.These animals are finding it difficult to cope with urban development and their numbers are being reduced at an alarming rate.

Aaaw!!! He's really cute H&J!!! And it's nice to see that he's already feeding himself.

It's so sad to hear that this iconic species is so under threat and hope that something can be done to help them.

Not many here in the Redlands now Hans with all of the development . Had a large Gum Tree outside our property when we first moved here with up to five Koalas feeding in it. The Gum Tree is no longer here and neither are the Koalas.
