or maybe of the cat-watch. I did see a neighborhood cat prowling below at one point, but from this vantage point the Blue tit was safe enough.

Finally read your comment on last week's Fieldfare, Ann. Fieldfares are not very popular with us either at the moment. We have a couple on the feeders all the time and when they're not fighting one another they drive away all the smaller birds including Blackbirds. The woodpeckers mostly ignore them and for some reason they don't bother the tame pigeons. They're getting very fat.
