For ChrisKten.
Another lifer we found on our trip to Queensland, we thought we would upload this beauty for Chris (ChrisKten), being our resident expert on Pigeons and Doves. Trust this brings a smile to Chris' face while he await the test results.

This little cutie, at 20-24cms is one of Australia's smallest native doves.

In some counties, this bird is known as the Zebra Dove.
Habitat
Peaceful Doves are found in open dry woodland with a grassy understorey and the edges of rainforest. In drier areas, they are often in woodland beside rivers, pandanus and vine thickets. They feed on the ground and roost in trees.
