Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)

I've been occupied for the last couple of days as my nephew and family were visiting. Of course we had to go to Huntington Beach State Park to see the alligators and birds. The youngest was literally jumping up and down at seeing his first and 8th gator. We were treated to a pair of ospreys diving and after one caught a fish an Eagle arrived to take it away. Too far away for good pics and the white sky made it hard to even get a in focus shot as the raced around in circles. All in all a really good morning for them and us!

Brilliant picture of this Osprey diving Steffro. It appears as if the Eagles have this fishing down pat, they let the Ospreys do the work and then then just intimate the Ospreys for the fish (lol). Fantastic picture!!!!

Sounds like a great visit was had by all, Robert. I like the angle of this image.

Wow, Robert! Love this flight angle you captured here, and with a pretty blue sky to back this great bird up.
