Masked Finfoot (Heliopais personata)

This is one of the most elusive waterbirds in Oriental Region. Malaysian birders were very lucky to encounter one bold wintering female hanging around from Nov2004 until May2005. This individual has become the country's most 'watched' bird.

Pond fringed by forest reserve.
