Grey Heron
My latest garden tick, I think this guy stopped to have a look at our pond,
most of the local lakes and ponds are frozen over making it difficult for water birds to find food
No fish in our pond so he didn't stay long.
Taken through a double glazed door so focus is a bit soft

I love to see these large waders perched up high and this is a beautiful capture Tony!

I think you should breed fish in your pond so you will have more of them visiting you. Super close up shot in a lovely elegant pose; Tony!! tfs.

That's a great picture you've taken of him - he looks a right bossy-boots, doesn't he!!!

Thanks for pointing out the terminal tail bars in my pic... a bit of luck they were visible, I think!!
