Living dangerously (Melanargia galathea, ?)

Sorry I haven't browsed your photos, BF friends. I look forward to seeing them tomorrow. Today I was out birding from early til late. Tired now. Will post two from today, then go to bed.

This Marbled White Butterfly and some sort of Beefly were living dangerously. The Rowan they were nectaring was just one tree over from the pine where a pair of Pied Flycatchers were very busy bringing insects - including at least one beefly - to the chicks in their nest.

That makes a really lovely image Ann.... a super double catch there. I hope they survive the flycatchers LOL
