Marsh Woundwort (Stachys palustris)

The canal was a great hunting ground for flowers, another I've never seen before - Marsh Woundwort.

I presume it was thought this one helped to heal wounds.

I'm always learning something. I keep a bottle of St. John's Wort around but I did not know that it was good for cancer as well as I just read. A lovely illustration of this beneficial herb D.

lovely flowers, i think i read about its healing properties when i had a passion in herbs and alternative medicine many years ago.
