it's been weeks since I've seen my last Ruby-throated Hummer but today, just like 2 previous years in the same week, this Rufous shows up. Not a great image but you can at least tell it's a Rufous

I understand what you mean KC: the bird does look rather "disembodied" (not quite the right right word, but you know what I mean). But there's a strong sense of movement with the wings beating too fast for the camera, the head and bill are sharp and clear, and you've captured the ruby throat nicely. I like the determined expression of this little bird!
