Winter Hare (Lepus europaeus)

The snow's still around and we've had a lot of sunshine so I've taken quite a lot of winter pictures.
Habitat
Woods
Location
Solberga, a suburb of Stockholm
Date taken
4th February 2018
Scientific name
Lepus europaeus
Equipment used
Canon 7D MkII, EF400mm f/5.6L USM
Beautiful shot! interesting that s/he hasn't changed to a winter coat. Don't they typically "dress" in white in winter?

What a gorgeous hare shot with snow being suspended in the air from its movement. Excellent work Graham!

What a wonderful study of this hare; the detail and composition are wonderful.

Thank you all very much indeed for posting these kind comments on this hare image!
It's only mountain hares that turn white in the winter, Doc. This is a brown hare. The ears look short but I think that's because it's a young hare.
