Solitary (Phalacrocorax aristolelis)

This Shag was solitary and perched on a ledge probably considering where its next fish was coming from. They can brave rough water and dangerous sea conditions in search of fish.

I love the plumage of this species particularly when you get a closer view. The detail is amazing.
