First off, I don't know what to call this. The British Birder's bible, Collins Bird Guide, gives the name as "(Winter) Wren", with the scientific name Troglodytes troglodytes. But the National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America says that Winter Wren is Troglodytes hyemalis. In the past I've sometimes referred to our species as "Eurasian Wren"... not sure where I got that from.
Taken in poor light, ISO 2000. A very heavy crop: the bird was 42 feet away (measured by laser), which I count as "near" but they're small birds.
Thank you for your kind comments on my pictures, and good birding!
