Thanks. My son made a birdbath with a few of the drip lines we set up for propagating native plants. I go down the hill from the house to mess about in the nursery and sit in a chair with a cuppa, my bins and my camera. Easiest birding I've ever done! We have three watering stations set up now and the birds are happy. It's gotten very hot a few times this summer and I'm happy we could make things bearable for the poor things. One weekend I went out to work and it got to 109F/42.7 C.
 
Wow! Lucky you! I've only once seen one, and then only peeping out between branches. Have heard them a lot, usually "playing pingpong" deep in an impenetrable thicket of blackberries.
