Ringed "64" Avocet Moors PM

For what it's worth this pair spent some of pm snoozing on the island in front of the East Hide. Then they stood up and in the blink of an eye flew off in the general direction of the moors. About 2pm. Too little time to close in on the second alloy ring. Almost readable but .. In truth I've only just read the posts and noticed the rings in my pics.:eek!: Not my most observant day:-C

Surely there must be a Sanderling latched onto this movement of small waders. Also those Common Sand need checking out carefully; Spotted Sands today at Farmoor and Draycote Water

They arrived and immediately went to the farm. The farmer informed them that the shooters were licensed and he is allowed to shoot canada geese that are damaging his crop. This is true, but they are not allowed to shoot over neighbours land.

Do you know the outcome of all this John? Not the first (or second) time the shooters have encroached on County Council land.
