Gambian Birds
The Gambia has a bird list in excess of 560 species having something to offer both the newcomer & the seasoned well-travelled birder. The Gambia is but a 6 hour flight from Western Europe with no jetlag & numerous package holidays available.
To see the speciality birds such as the fabulous Egyptian Plover, African Finfoot, & the various raptors (over 30 sp. including Martial Eagle, African Fish Eagle, Bateleur); or to simply appreciate the sights & sounds of the Gambian 'aviary' then hiring a local guide is recommended.
I can organise any type of birding trip you may wish from half-day excursions around the coastal sites to 4 day inland trips to Basse & even week long journeys to Niokolo Koba National Park in Senegal. I have been a Gambian birding guide for many years & have an intimate knowledge of the birds & the various habitats on offer.
Please check out my website for further details about birding The Gambia & for the guiding services I can offer. Feel free to use the website resources to help plan your visit to The Gambia.
I look forward to meeting you on the Smiling Coast!
