What binoculars are as good as Nikon Superior E?

Have you tried rolling the eye-cups half way or three quarters down? It works for me with the SE 10x42. Best, George

    Nikon 8x30 EII

I had both at the same time some years ago. The E2 has significantly better optics, better build quality, easier eye placement, better focus wheel, diopter mechanism, eye-cups, etc. On the plus side for the HRWP: holding the HRWP feels even better than holding the E2, the best ever. And the...

    What to do…water in Porros?

I wouldn't worry too much. I've been using the E2s as my primary bins for years and have had zero dust or moisture inside and the Netherlands can get pretty humid at times. They are well sealed and have withstood short periods of light rain without any issues. Coming in from the damp and cold I...

Pocket binoculars that fit in your pocket!

Suggestion for a 8x24 that is (almost?) as compact and light as a Trinovid 8x20: https://www.opticron.co.uk/our-products/compact-binoculars/traveller-bga-compact-binoculars/traveller-bga-8x24 https://www.verrekijker-expert.nl/bynolyt-seagull-8x24...

Nikon Venturer 8x32 LX in 2021?

Just use them every day, they're made for it :) . Why settle for something less?

Which 10x binoculars to pair up my SLC 8x42?

To pair up, I would look at a stabilized 12x36 or 12/14x32. Not too heavy and these will really show you more detail.

Which 10x binoculars to pair up my SLC 8x42?

Regarding FOV, apparent field of view of the 8x42 SLC and the 10x40 Habicht will be about the same. The Habicht is a porro, so up to about 100 meters the image scale (how big the bird looks) will be about the same as the 8x42 SLC as porros deliver a smaller image scale compared to dakkant bins...

Leica Trinovid 8x20 BCA-very new version review

Beautiful photos! What I really like about these trinies is how the eyecups slide in and out, great precision enginering!

dust or something else inside Nikon Mikron 6x15? easy to repair/clean internally?

On second thoughts: with this kind of deposit/mould I would return them.

dust or something else inside Nikon Mikron 6x15? easy to repair/clean internally?

As you are in Belgium you could ask dekijkerspecialist.nl for advice. I can highly recommend his work and he charges reasonable prices. George

Duel at sunset: Opticron Traveller ED 8x32 vs Kite Lynx HD+ 8x30 (and ELSV, Conquest HD)

The Ultravid 8x32 is a bit heavier, but just as small, if not smaller, with good glare performance. George

General Gear Anxiety with particular Swarovski NL 12x42 thoughts

Hi Jan, Henrun has the latest B.1 Plus, which is the successor of the B.1.1. The Plus has other looks and updated coatings. Not many of those around yet. George

Sounds like you need to take a look at the latest version SLC 15x56 which has more eye relief than the Meopta. The Abbe Konig prisms are also very nice (bright and sparkling) and CA control is very good. As is its close focus view. George
