    Oops, I meant adult Starlings. Either way I think Starlings are pests. I dont wanna sound mean or negative, but youre really not doing any other birds good by helping some babies, I dont care how cute the little guys look.

    Our Starlings love eating wooly bear catipillars. But, those damn birds also raid nests of other birds. My neighbors shoot the Starlings, and I really have no problem with them doing that.

    Bird ID Please Are these a pair of Linnets

    Sorry I cant help, but thanks for posting this. My Grandpa always called House Finches (which are quite similar, which live here) "Linnets" and his parents were from Germany and England. I always wondered why he called them that. Now I know where the word came from. Nice Birds :) Thanks

    Thank you very much. Looks like the White Crowned population is doing much better than the Goldnen Crowned sparrows in that case.
