    Would love some discussion on separating Short-billed from Long-billed Dowitchers - Short-billed less common in CA, but does pass through this time of year.

    Agree on all except the dowitchers, since Short-billed are more uncommon through this stretch of CA. What are you seeing that indicates Short-billed over the more common Long-billed?
