    Today's birding in the area Firecrests were in the area of the of the Nature Reserve together with the usual Sardinian Warbler, Blackcap, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Chiffchaff, Robin. A Griffon Vulture flew over the rock having just arrived from the Strait.

    Workflow All shot with 600mmL lens, uncropped and generally shot wide open on Manual mode, Evaluative, using AF servo using one spot on the side where the head is. There was not much scope for me either to use a smaller lens or get further back and they are not meant as the ultimate...

    How can I improve on these

    Tips Des, correct me if I'm wrong, I feel your images have been considerably cropped, which explains the lack of contrast and softening. Try get closer to the subject by using a static post technique, hiding with some camo gear over you, and get the birds to come to you. See how that works...
