Rycote windshield to fit Sennheiser me66 & K6 module.

Hi Mark, I have looked into waterproofing, unfortunately this system is not totally waterproof, although I think it would take a light shower or two okay. Although this is not too much of a problem for me anyway if I am doing nocmig, due to a decent roof overhang in the top floor flat I am in...

Rycote windshield to fit Sennheiser me66 & K6 module.

Hi Mark, price wise for a new set you are right, however one recently went for £75 on eBay. I am hoping to pick something up at around that price to be fair, if not cheaper obviously. I was just not sure what rycote system to get should one pop up on eBay. Sorry I should have made that a little...

Rycote windshield to fit Sennheiser me66 & K6 module.

Hi I have just purchased a Sennheiser me66 & K6 shotgun setup, but at this moment in time have no wind protection device for it yet. Although very expensive I have looked at the Rycote modular systems and was wondering what size would I need to get to fit the mic? Also has anyone got any...

    Audacity-real time

Hi, Can anyone please advise how I go about seeing the actual recording time on audacity? Whilst I am happy with my recordings I have no idea what time say that redwing went over at! I record using a Zoom h4n pro that splits my nightly recording into 1hr (or so) files. Many thanks Calum

    Mics mono/stereo

As I say just a few adjustments to the mic holder still, as well a try and gauge the sound focal point. The mic cable runs down through the handle to the recorder. Again the cable will need some kind of fixing (masking tape) to the bowl to stop any noise through movement.

    Mics mono/stereo

Just went out and purchased these for a few pounds. Biggest price was the lampshade at £8 as I never had an old one to hand. Everything was screwable, with the exception of push fit fixings to pipe & the handle cover that needs glueing on. Mic fitting needs some work still but just a few pics to...

    Mics mono/stereo

I am also presently looking at making a home made parabola by using a squirrel baffle. Although i have thought about using a wooden dowel as in your picture to hold the mic in position, I think i might go down the route of using the wire frame of an old light shade. The circular section that...

    Honey buzzards North Wales

Up here in Scotland whilst still a very rare breeder the status has greatly been changed by some very enthusiastic people. Just because someone says they are not recorded as breeding in Wales doesn’t mean they are not there, they are only there once someone finds them. I would suggest you look...

A bit off thread! But did anyone else see Cameron talking at the climate summit talking tough on climate change? Yet just 6 days previously Osborne was anouncing this!!! http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/nov/25/uk-cancels-pioneering-1bn-carbon-capture-and-storage-competition

    Climate-Summit Special.

Last night I nearly choked on my digestive biscuit as I sat watching a tough sounding speech from David Cameron at the summit! He mentioned that we had to do more yet just six days ago his right hand man Osborne was scrapping plans for funding a carbon capture plant. The level of hypocrisy is...

Indeed I think privately installed solar energy would help a long way towards cutting out the need for the more usual energy sources but at around 20K+ to install it ain't cheap. Subsidies would go a long way in helping though....but tell that to a govt who is scrapping such subsidies though!!

You make some very good points. However I myself don't think windfarms in itself are the answer. We need further investment in hydro electric plants as well as wave and tidal energy. I also think every new house to be constructed should have its own solar panels as well as double or triple...

No just answering back a comment from someone who picked me up wrong. I tried to get the thread back online by mentioning the Chinese...who as you are well aware are keen to build our nuclear power stations etc My whole point is we as an island must look after ourselves with regards to fuel...
