    Thanks Thanks for your help. I saw the Blackcap juvenile description but didn't have a photo to compare. I'm assuming this will be an overwintering bird as its the first I've seen on the marsh.

    Pale Flax Thank you for yoyur ID. I agree regarding te Flax, not sure if its perennial or pale? The BSBI site would suggest 'Pale' going the photo. The description of the habitat does not fit with where I found it growing, 3inches from the water edge of a stream in the NE of England?

    1. Unknown speedwell? 2. Unknown daisy? Thought the speedwell may be 'Marsh' owing to its close proximity to the stream. The daisy type flower was in a large clump just coming into flower, thought it might be an escapee. All situated in the North East of England.
