    Managed the Iceland gull at the Fish Quay but dipped on Med at Newbiggin, however had great views of a sparrowhawk hovering, the first time i have seen this in this species.

    Sadly Gary Egg collectors are very well connected and most raptor sites are well known. Otterburn sites are protected by army surveillance yet are still are subject to predation. The Harwood birds are well documented and will be afforded a measure of protection by the Forestry commission

    Tried this myself Max but could not convert it so I'm at a loss at the mo as to how to proceed. As to your image general impression would be you will be able to improve it once you can understand the complexities of RAW manipulation.

    Today Sipton Burn 12 Black grouse in fields west of Allenheads road, also Red grouse to the east.     Will be quite at the Farnes by then as most of the seabirds will be back to sea. However many of the coastal reserves will have good numbers of Terns, and seawatching can produce Skuas, Shearwaters, Petrels on good days. Also migration can produce interesting falls with Wrynecks, Red back...

    Been up to 14 Goosander on Killingworth lake . Nice photos of the Kingfisher guys, it really is showing well and is very tolerent of people in the hide.
