Excellent pics of the sand plovers. I love the blur of the sand in the foreground on them. The last one is my favourite! Very sharp images of a great species. Ditto for the Great Knot. Now looking for a few Asian Dowitcher pics!........ ;)

Very sharp images! I may need some lessons this summer back in Canada. Looking forward to some shorebird pics... I like the warbler shot and the goldcrest shot especially. Both seem 'ready to move'.

Great list of gulls! Nice to see Slaty-backed on the list. Unusually high numbers of Saunder's Gull as well? If I remember correctly, we had a Hoopoe in the dead of winter in Jinshitan in 2008 down by the ocean. I don't remember which month, but I do remember being surprised. Dave Beeke...

Looks good for Lesser Scaup. Head shape is not Greater Scaup at all. Nice comparison with the other ducks! The other option is female Tufted Duck but would not expect so much white at base of bill on female Tufted. I think it is a Lesser Scaup Dave

Several good sightings. I would love to see a Great Knot again. Is that Bean Goose an unusual sighting? I don't remember seeing any in Jinshitan. Which sea-farming ponds do you refer to lately, the ones by the new bridge? Dave Beeke British Columbia

Tom, Your second photo shows an American x Erasian Wigeon hybrid adult with the green wash to the head. Interesting bird for your area. Maybe a full American Wigeon is next? Nice photos, Dave Beeke. Chilliwack, British Columbia

Wow. Awesome pics of Chestnut Bunting, Siberian Thrush, Siberian Rubythroat, all birds that are not common in Jinshitan... Interesting to hear the changes from year to year! Some of those pictures are incredibly sharp, like the Blue Robin You will need to jump back to Jinzhou after the rains...
