Hi Chris, I had a Fritillary which I think was Silver-washed at Felthorpe yesterday afternoon and apparently the one at Queen's Hills has been seen again - in fact the one at QH could be the same individual as your garden as it can't be that far! Mike -

I had two Crossbills NE over Costessey pit this morning at 8.45am. While definitely Crossbill species, the calls were definitely deeper than typical Common Crossbill calls and lacked the distinctive high-pitched metallic quality that is so distinctive. While I cannot claim these as anything... -

Possibly Shaky09's bird from Colney, I found an Osprey over Costessey Ski pit 0855 till 9am this morning when drifted off low North. I relocated it after 9 sitting in a dead tree on Taverham Mills Lake (TG159133) and still there at 9.20. You can view through the trees as I did, but parking along... -

White Admiral this afternoon at Drayton Drewray just North of Taverham. Definitely my latest ever by quite a long way. Anyone else seen them this late? Also about 10 Painted Lady this morning in Asda car park. -

Hi Jimbob, The main Clouded Yellow emergence site at Queen's Hills is on an area of land with no public access (I believe at least 14 were counted here on the weekend). However, they seem to be spreading out a bit and can be seen in other areas - there was one at the "Small red-eyed Damsel" pool... -
