    12x42 NL Pure.....

    You can resist, thinking on the future NL12x52, but the delay will turn more expensive...:)

    NL >=50 mm versions?

    Yes, I would be one of the buyers of a real good zoom binocular with IS. I already told that I would be interested on a binocular resulting from the joining of 2 STC56 (if with at least central focusing...), but would prefer a IS version of it, even if "only" 17-33x... ;) Yes, it would be big...

    NL >=50 mm versions?

    So NL52 are great news!...(y) Any rumour / confirmation on an IS version?

    Kowa TSN-99 (40x) review

    Did you tested the X115? From the reports read here at BF is much easier to get a very good X95 than a similar Kowa 99... Still didn't seem a Kowa 99 star test that doesn't shows SA. The same happens with the X115 but this has much bigger aperture! The Kowas can receive some astro-eps being that...

    New 100 ED spotting scope

    It does. The question remaining is if it retained the bayonet system compatible with Swaro eps or not... See APM scope + Swaro zoom

    New 100 ED spotting scope

    Thanks for the link (yes, it looks like it!) and your impressions. Do you use the zoom on your ATS 65? If so, my "hopes" were gone... I had 2 "hopes": this version seemed to me based in the Opticron ES100 and other Japanese produced versions, that are good...; APM sells older versions with...

    New 100 ED spotting scope

    When looking for some eps I noticed a new 100mm ED spotting scope made in China and sold within several brands being that there is one version with the wide-angled zoom similar to be APM SuperZoom (apparently based on the Meopta 2x zoom) eg 100 ED sptotting scope Anyone tried this version? The...

    NL >=50 mm versions?

    Neither has central focusing... It's a binocular for astro-use - too big and heavy, so most owners probably use it mounted... For birding IS is even more useful than for astro-use... ;)

    Using 2" XW 85º on Pentax scopes

    For Pentax fans that would like to use the more recent XW 2" 85º eps: - probably is possible using a Baader Hyperion zoom 2.25x barlow, with a 2" to T ring adapter and a T to 1.25" male adapter (beware that it must be one with all interior with 1.25" filter female thread) - see an example with...

    NL >=50 mm versions?

    Just remembered if Swarovski is planning a reply to Nikon WX50 within the 75th Anniversary? As would be for birding, the introduction of IS would be welcomed... ;)

    New Pentax PF-85EDA

    John, My suggestion was based on my experience with PF100: - the prism doesn't vignette with 27mm FOV eps, has a inside prism position enough to receive 2" eps and reach focus - at least the XW 16.5 wouldn't vignette - who wouldn't enjoy a 29x 85º view? 1.25" eps could continue to be used with...

    Monarch 82ED, a Perfect Ten

    For obtaining widest FOV is possible to use some 2" that don't have lenses on the 2" barrel and is accomplished by removing the 2" section and use a T2 adapter to the ep thread - varies with the brand... I can use 2" eps on my Optplyth 100 like this but you can see another example use at Using...

    Swarovski Giant Binoculars vs BTX

    Would prefer a BTX version that would zoom - the X series doesn't allow changing eps... Would prefer also a straight view version of BTX, a sort of a factory version of my LTX115... ;)

    UTA 2x on spotting scopes?

    Thanks, I know all you said - that's the laws of physics and with the UTA the FOV reduction should be even higher, since the AFOV of the UTA is more reduced than the AFOV of most zooms, at least at their higher zoom positions. That's one of the reasons why I prefer extenders and the barlow...

    UTA 2x on spotting scopes?

    Anyone is using the UTA 2x with a spotting scope? I have the 2.5x UTA, that I lent to someone that can improve CR resighting performance using it, but felt the 2.5x increase factor is not the best for my use UTA 2.5x test - have to update with several barlow cells I have presently... Meanwhile...
