    Gull Central Spain ¿LBBG 3cy?

Hello everyone! A friend of mine saw this gull yesterday near a wetland at Cuenca, Central Spain. I think it is a 3cy Lesser Black-backed (based on pattern of greater coverts with inner ones very dark, mantle, any window in primaries) but I cannot discard Yellow-legged (not very long-winged...

There is a car parking at (42.2400089, -0.2806816) and then two small tunnels to arrive at the dam. It is...

    Merlin misled?

I have been using extensively Merlin since a couple of years, perhaps three, specially after a large pack of European species was added to the list of species supported, boosting its performance in my area. I wish I would have had such a wonderful aid for learning bird sounds on spot when I...

    Red or Black Kite

"Since 2008 the Black Kite (Milvus migrans, Milano negro) has been breeding in Gran Canaria, the Red Kite (Milvus milvus, Milano real o robapollos) is considered extinct for about 40 years" (Birds of prey - GOMERA VIVE) So Black Kite seems much more possible (and is also my first feeling from...
