    David - The Palearctic subspecies has been recorded on the Pribilof Islands a few times. Common Mergs are rare but occur on Saint Lawrence as well, primarily in spring but I am not certain to which subspecies those records pertain.

    Note too the nice yellowish wing coverts and primary edgings, giving the bird a uniform wash of yellow color. Female SCTA's are a more greenish-yellow overall, with a darker wing lacking bright yellow tones.

    The vested look, thin bill with apparently dark lower mandible, eyering shape and primary length all point to Hammond's Flycatcher.
