Pink ocular coatings on SF oculars are gone..............

Now they are different similar to Hi end astronomy lanthanum oculars.......a characteristic color there is no doubt. The strong green cast is gone, a side by side comparison with older models shows the different clearly, the view is less muted more clean and fresh Serial number 52883xx ZEISS...

Thanks Leica.....3 rangefinder binoculars with me, but i will never Hunt.

Well.....still fascinated about the Geovid Binoculars with Perger prism so now the 10x32 and the 8x56 are at home with the 10x42 that already own. Thanks to Leica store in madrid to let me try check and retry different models and brands with their stock of geovids.

Have I gone completely crazy ?

Hi Gijs. I had already seen it in table number 8, there it refers to the geovid 8x42 BD, I don't know what model it is or what year of manufacture it has. Leica declares in its technical specifications a transmission of 91 percent in the new Geovid 3200.com and Geovid plus. The technical...

Have I gone completely crazy ?

Apologies for my late response but I have been reviewing these geovids with my other binoculars. Mine are 3200.com as well. I have spent quite a bit of time with the geovid 10x42 comparing it to my other binoculars like the 12x42NL, Noctivid 8x42.........10x42 version was sold when buying the...

Have I gone completely crazy ?

True........in this model there is nothing noticeable in the optical path

Have I gone completely crazy ?

Pros, Geovid. Image more transparent and clean. More balanced color, it is very noticeable in a side by side comparison. Less CA, probably the larger focal will help. More pronounced 3D effect, greater separation between foreground and background objects. The Noctivid's image appears more...

Have I gone completely crazy ?

Call me crazy for buying the Geovid 3000 10x42 for purely observation use but the Perger-Porro prism system design caught my attention. Apart from reading several articles, there is nothing better than trying it for yourself. I went to the store with my Noctivid 10x42 and ask for Geovids, NL...

New Zeiss binos 8x40 SFL and 10x40 SFL

Is very interesting to see in the brochure in the picture talking about Ultra-HD Concept.....left part of the image showing green cast on the snow and pure white on the right part...... As they say..... Maximum detail visibility and color fidelity thanks to optimizations in coating and optical...

Swarovski NL 8x42 - First Impressions

Henry. Talking about clarity the NL is a step forward from the EL, i agree, but the same increment of clarity can be found comparing the NL to the last production of Swarovski Habicht. I have the 10x42w Habicht made on 2021 and is the clearest cristal clean binocular that i ever used.....and i...

New SLC 8x42 Review by Tobias Mennle

Both are the result of an image that has gone through an optical system, it is understood that I speak of lenses not apples and oranges

New SLC 8x42 Review by Tobias Mennle

I think Tobias's opinion is very valid and as a filmaker he knows very well what he's talking about. There has to be a very strong reason why Hundred Million Dollar Hollywood movies are being shot again with old Zeiss, Cooke and Panavision lenses. Nobody wants to use flat glass anymore to tell...
