    taken Foulshaw Moss area, (Osprey/Marsh Harrier) South Lakeland... too distant for me... any ideas? THANKS Apologies but only/best images I have!

    Thanks; Not a jackdaw, No, can't say it was definately a raptor, just the size of it suggested it might be... I think collared dove may be favourite but it seemed much bigger all around at the time... time to visit specsavers

    tweaked photos no help I tried lightening the photos but they were no help... I would have expected to see something when adjusting them, but can see no markings... odd. Feet appear to be 'pink'. There appear to be no markings on the tail and no markings on the sunny side of the body.... odd!

I have been telling myself it was a female sparrowhawk but the lack of markings has me flummoxed... maybe the camera does lie... but can't recall seeing any when...

    THANKS Jane, I had it down as a chiffchaff, it was in a large flock of mixed tits, Great, Blue, Long-Tailed and as you say the face isn't 'exactly classic' but the feet are much lighter than the legs – is this common and known? Is it the age of the bird? Chiffchaff have dark legs, WW have...
