    Little Shearwater?, Point Linas, Anglesey

    Doesn't look quite right to me (based on a sample size of 1). Tail and wings seem a bit long and the paler section of the wing is further out. Seems a bit brown as well. Wish the bill was visible though.

    Warning/Tip for EL/SV users

    Just lost one of those plastic things, two days in. Picked them up by the strap and let them dangle and it must have popped off as they bounced and I have no idea where it went. Off to find a needle as I don't trust the metal thing to stay in place either. How would I go about getting one?

    Need ID help. Peoria AZ 16 Nov 2009 shorebird

    Or just measure the bill accurately. Pyle gives 48-68mm for Clapper and 32-46 for Virginia. If the 2.5" is precise, it's Clapper. No real clue but I'd wonder if an injured bird would be near normal weight.
