    Indeed. Edge softness is of course due to a combination of field curvature, and other aberrations, in varying degrees. In the case of field curvature, which can be corrected with the focus knob, a person with younger eyes will find it less noticeable as their young eyes will refocus easily...

    Anyone who thinks a Swaro 8.5x42 SV is aberration free is lacking observation skills. Internal focussing binoculars have additional aberrations from the focus lens.
