    I think this is a Ringed kingfisher, hard to tell from back. Taken on Rio Cane Negro river,Costa Rica on the border with Nicaragua

    Just returned from an amazing trip to Costa Rica, and although I knew there would be Resplendent Quetzals in the cloud forests of Monteverde I never thought I would see one let alone photograph one.

    Saw this this on an uninhabited Island in the Maldives last month, As I don't know a lot about birds, I told my wife it was a red eyed Crow;) Is there such a bird? Thanks Lello
