Suggestions for wide-angle light midrange eyepieces for Celestron Regal 65

Pedro, I had a Regal 65ED and 80Ed and Baader Hyperion eyepieces, all 68 degree, and a Baader Morpheus 76 degree eyepieces in both scopes. Great views and great value for money. Allbeit they are a little heavy. Baader 13mm would be £114 from First Light Optics, where I bought mne. Les

Looking for new binos 300-500£: help me to reduce my list of options plz

Good choice, I have the Opticron 8x32 Verano HD and Imagic BGA VHD 10x42, both very good products and not much difference to my Swaro 8x42 SLC, excepy FOV. I notice the Birders Store has a good offer on the 8x42 Imagic VHD, saving of £100. Might be worth comparing specs. LesR

    Head for Velbon Sherpa 200

A couple of yearsago I dropped my Velbon tripod and broke the spring release on the Velbon PQ 157 head. I contacted Velbon and sent me a new black spring clip free of charge. Excellent customer service. Les.

    PF 65 ED eyepieces?

Eye relief is an issue with me, as a glasses wearer, as I need at least 18mm for binoculars and scopes. My first scope was a Celestron Regal 65, after reading many favourable value for money comments on here, with the bundled zoom which had 18-20mm eye relief. Great scope for the price but...

    very small format bins

When I'm going out, and not specifically birding, I usually slip a pair of Pentax AD 8x25 WP binoculars in my jacket pocket, as opposed to my expensive 8x42 and 8x32 bins. When closed they are only 4.25 inches (107mm) x 2.5 inches ( 635mm). They have fully multicoated lenses, phase correction...

    Your Most Used Binoculars?

My Opticron Verano BGA HD 8x32 Binoculars are always in the car and get used daily between work appointments. My 8x42 SLC get taken out when I am going birding and are not likely to get stolen by a car break in.

    Binoculars!!!

I agree Sandra, I wouldn't swap My Swaro SLC's but the next favourite I own is a £89 Leupold BX-1 Yosemite 6X30, it gives me a nice 3 dimensional bright view, very easy on eye placement with my glasses and is nice and steady on my frequent trips on the ferry from Dover to France.

Binocular Upgrade help please Kowa/Zeiss or Vortex around £1000

Hi Pete, about 3 years ago I was faced with the same dilemma as I wanted to upgrade from my Vanguard Endeavor, original, 8x42ED. I tried a friends Swarovski EL 8.5x42 and, while the view was magnificent I didn't feel I could justify the price tag of nearly £1700.00. After reading lots of...
