    canon 10x30 IS vs others

    I have the 10, 30 & 15 Canonon ISs.I find i use the 12x36 more than all of the others combined.     I have the Nikon & the Pentax ,3 of each 50,60 ,82 Nikons. 65,80,100 pentax. With the XW EP,s I think the Pentax is the equal of any . Much cheaper also. Brian. ps They dont have the prestige factor that the others have though.

    I have the Nikon 82mm & the Pentax 80 PF .The Pentax is about 4 inches longer. I also have the Baader zoom & it can focus from about 30ft to a tv tower at least 2 miles away . I also have the PF 65 & the Baader zoom will focus in that also with a $10 Burgess 1.9 corrector in the EP. I have 3...

    Thanks Alan .Unfortunately both my cameras are Kodak. I used to have a Nikon 4500 which did have the threaded lens. But the lcd screen was too small for my old eyes to focus on. Wish someone would make one like it with larger screen...

    Best eyepiece for PF-65ED AII Spotting Scope

    Another nice thing about the Hyperions & Pentax XWs they are both threaded at the eye end if you need to connect to a camera.

    Vixen zoom & PF-Ed 80mm

    I was using the televue zoom which i believe is a Vixen clone until recently. Using a Baader now.Televue worked fine in all 3 Pentax PFs. Brian.

    I swear by Bogen Manfrotto tripods .I have 5 of them. If you can manage the price try the Pentax XW ep,s For A Zoom the Baader hyperion is hard to beat. Brian.

    DOUBT IF YOU WILL EVER HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE 80 PF. mine fell of tripod about 5ft to the deck .Didnt hurt it one bit. Great scope, Brian.

    Eagle Owls

    Makes me feel sick to read about any birds being killed . It took me years to get my first & only look at the eagle owls relative the great horned owl ,here in Ohio.
