    Snowy plover? NW FL

I'm sure there will be a central organisation (Audubon Soc?) like Euring in Europe than will take any ring record and get it too the right ringing group. Please do report the bird, they are all useful and means there is some benefit from carrying the rings! Any US ringer (bander) able to...

    UK chiff or ?

Agree all CC - look at the primary projection beyond the tertials, vs the length of the tertials. About half in a CC, about the same in a WW (as long as it's not an Iberian CC where the projection is slightly longer, but still short of WW) If it helps see the attached I made up for myself while...

Gull with deformed bill, Somerset UK

Yes not that uncommon - along with one-legged, one-eyed and deformed feet. We catch quite a few ringing. Doesn't seem to affect some of them much as they are often adult birds in good condition. Mick

    ID Please.

Pedantic perhaps, but it's not a juvenile (that is up to the first moult), it's an immature - a first winter immature to be exact. In Common gulls most of the juvenile plumage is lost in Aug-Oct of the year it is born (i.e., they aren't strictly speaking 'juvenile' for more than a few months...

    Moroccan magpie

With its blue mark behind the eye, less iridescence and smaller white shoulder patch than the nominate version. Just realised I've been posting these in Birds of Europe when it should be birds of Africa. oops!

    Moroccan Coal tit

Today three 'Moroccan' or NW Africa subspecies/variants. First the Moroccan Coal tit (atlas) with its larger black bib than the UK version. (not Algerian ledouci)
