Tero. This year we did not have a single house sparrow. The box is located about 20 feet from our house and the blues raised three batches of young. We have a baffle on the pole and it is away from large trees. I also had a hole reducer on the entrance. I have another bb house that is...

I first saw this female Northern Cardinal at the beginning of August. At that time I thought that she would surely die within a few days, if not hours. However, she is still around, eating well and behaving normally. I would like your opinions as to whether you think she has been attacked by...

She comes every evening to get her dog biscuits. Think she's nursing kits. Have seen the male around too.

Great shot. We have a female who comes to our garden every evening at dusk to get her "dog biscuit" that we leave out for her. We know she's been in the neighborhood for about a year now, and last night she brought her mate for the first time.

You made my day! A very unusual bird. I happened to see one while visiting my brother in Spain about 2 years ago and have been enamoured with them ever since. We don't have them in the U.S. I see that this was photographed in Russia. The sure seem to get around. Thank you so much. Great photo.

Thanks all. I now have two males fighting for the feeder nearest the window, even though I have a couple more spread around the property. I just love hearing them chattering at each other. KC : judging by the hummingbirds.net map, the hummingbirds arrived in Myrtle Beach the same day that...

    Hummingbird migration has started!

Bobky: I'll post the latest picture I have of a male ruby-throated hummingbird on the gallery. It's taken with my new camera, and I'm not too familiar with it yet, so the pictures are not that good.
