New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

Not sure a harness would entirely address the issue you seem to be describing : tired arms from lifting binocular to eyes and holding it there? Anyways some discussion here on supports and illustrations provided by John A Roberts which may provide useful food for thought ...

New 10x42s wanted. But which ones?

London Camera Exchange Lincoln might be best bet to compare those two Nikon models. Maybe another model to consider trying out for your primary use, if haven't already done so, is the Canon 12x36 IS III. This might be worth a try : https://www.cliftoncameras.co.uk/canon-48hr-test-drive-binoculars

    Binoculars ID

Looks similar to this model (as does the case) apparently once sold by a retailer in Bristol & Cardiff : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276354827159

    Binoculars around £1000

Agree with the other guys; if you're prepared to look around a bit and aren't in a hurry you may well find something top drawer that fits. You actually missed this offer just yesterday (assume was genuine).

    Opticron BGA PC ASF 10x42

https://www.opticron.eu/ukhtml/Pages/im_bga_pc_asft.htm AS for aspheric and maybe the F as a code for the flavour of multicoating or just dodgy spelling. https://www.birdforum.net/threads/opticron-imagic-bga-8x42-versus-bga-se-8x42.405842/#post-4158147

    Binocular strap for 8 x 32 bins

Just to confirm (since I see Zeiss have a harness at that price) you're looking for a replacement strap comparable to this Zeiss "Air Cell Padded" one? https://www.bushwear.co.uk/products/zeiss-neck-strap

Holger’s Binocular Book - in English in 2023!

Two very important questions : 1) Anyone agree (or perhaps it's obvious and/or intentional) that Holger's picture on his homepage looks like a youthful Vito Cornelius? (jealous). 2) If indeed the book becomes available for a very reasonable price, does that mean we'll then be disqualified from...

"David Bowie" special eye lenses (will your eyes tell the difference?)

Where's Looksharp65 when you need him? Looks more like your binocular has Heterochromia iridum rather than Anisocoria like Mr. Bowie. Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere Everything's Alright 👍

    Budget compact with 25mm lens

8x25 Pentax AD WP and Nikon Sportstar EX look like two possible candidates at that price in Canada. Latter has a very wide field of view for a compact but very short eye relief. The former is the opposite (narrow FOV but decent eye relief) but also adds phase coating as a plus (is the more...
