    Kowa Binoculars

Have you tried the Zeiss Conquest HD binoculars. It is a fabulous binoculars. My only issue with Viper is that their FOV is narrow comparing to similar products. At that price range, you probably want to consider ZenRay PRIME HD binoculars. I also agree with typo that Genesis is an excellent...

Best colour contrast binoculars for coloured ring identification under £250?

Have you tried to use 42mm binoculars to see if you can pick up the ring. I guess those binoculars should do just fine. From my personal experience, the 7x36 ZEN ED2 is one of the best binocular for neutral color. It also handles the color fringing rather well.

Which 7x has the sharpest center...

I have only used 7x36 ED2 and 7x43 ZEN ED3. It's hard to tell which one has better resolution. But I am surprised that the 7x36 ED2 is significantly sharper than the 10x42 ZRS (not the current version with dielectric glass coating).

Practical implications of waterproof vs. splash proof

splash proof means that the water will find its way into the binoculars, which is a very bad idea for such an expensive binoculars. Waterproof binoculars can be submerged in the wafer without letting wafer inside the tubes.

    Why no Alpha 7x32`s

The 7x36 ZEN ED2 is probably the closest one to the 7x32. It may not have alpha name. But the quality is definitely reflecting an alpha class. It feels deceivingly lighter than it actually is, probabbly with the open bridge design. I was hoping PIRME HD can come up with a 7x design one day.

Swarovision's don't hold up in African dust?

I think my friend's Canon 5D camera was destroyed by sand during their trip to Africa a couple of years ago. The sand in Africa is very fine particle that will find its way into every available cavity in the binoculars or camera. That review seems to be an honest one. I don't think there is...

    Should I go 7x

I have used both my 7x36 ZEN ED2 and 7x43 ZEN ED3. I cannot really rate one over the other. But 7x43 ED3 is slightly brighter under low light, maybe due to newer dielectric coating or larger objective, or both.

Please, help me choose between these 5...

I am a big fan of ZEN ED2 7x36 binoculars. The depth of field is probably the best in that price range. Also, if you can find it, some Pentax DCF ED binoculars are also quite nice

    All i want for Christmas???

I have tried the Vortex Talon 8x32. The open hinge for such a small/compact binoculars does not go very well. I will get a pair if there is 32mm PRIME in the work.

Well performing roof binocular on a budget?

Zen-Ray has some demo 7x36 ZEN ED2 for $275. It is probably the best deal out there for a fine binos like ED2. I also have good experience with Zen-Ray VISTA and Vortex Diamondback binoculars. They perform rather well for their price. They are the same binoculars with different enclosures.

Here's My Review of the Much Anticipated and Continually Delayed HT

Troubador, how do you rate HT vs SV overall. I understand that they are two different glasses. Each of them has its own pros and cons. Would you recommend HT vs SV?

ZEN ED2 82mm Spotting Scope received 2012 Outdoor Life Editor's Choice Award

Charles, I just took a delivery of your 20-60x82 ED2 spotter last week. Excellent glass. I am very pleased. Thank you. I have one question. Is there an upgrade/change on the tripod foot? Mine was rotated 90 degree with shorter edge parallel to the spotter axis direction. That is different fron...
