On recent trip to Shetland struggled with some confusing wader IDs..some straightforward but would appreciate help with following 0158 - on rocky shore at Sandness 0236 - tombolo at St Ninians. OK with ringed plover and sanderling... Cheers

Great service from David Gibbons at InFocus. He'd managed to get hold of Kite SOC so just been up to Denby Dale to pick it up. Really pleased with case...fits well and looks good. Well chuffed!!

My stay on case has finally given up the ghost. Obviously 15 years on Swarovski no longer produce replacements. Has anyone any suggestions for protection....?

Minox - After Sales

Had a pair of BL 8 x 44s for just over a year and love them to bits. So gutted when noticed the tripod screw cover on the front had disappeared...presumably worked loose and fallen off. The response from the shop I got them from in Sheffield was disappointing so I rang Minox sales direct. The...

Binocular Upgrade?

Many thanks for the comments so far. Probably I ought to go and have another field test AND this time compare them with the HRWPs. I suppose I do really need to be objective in terms of added value!!

Binocular Upgrade?

Currently using Opticron HR WP 8 X 42s - and I do like them! However thinking of upgrading / adding roof prisms and looked at various brands/models. From research and trying out seems to be down to Viking ED 8 X 42 or Minox BL 8 x 44 BRs. Struggling to make a choice....both seem good optically...

Swarovski AT 80 HD Filter

Thanks so much for advice. Clear now that AT 80 doesn't take a filter - so saved a lot of expense as nearly sent of for an 82mm. Also after comments re hood etc not too worried regarding protection...... Cheers
