Warham Greens - parking at Garden Drove

I would suggest that the photo in post 3 is not exactly how it should be. The two cars parked alongside the trailers are exactly where other trailers will be parked should they return from their feeding mission. People must realise if there is nowhere suitable on the Drove to go to the east end...

    Norfolk birding

At about 12.15pm about 600m west of drinking pool on main track at Wells, large group of people looking for Pallas's Warbler when I heard what I took to be Pallas's song. I know in the past they have been known to sing but someone I spoke to thought a tape was being played. Anyone know if it was...

From the arboretum car park, which is off the road from A1065 in Mundford and goes past Lynford Hall, cross the road and follow the straight path. On the left after 150 yards, after going past a alrge pair of gates there is a five barred gate on your left, look from here. There is a 'tunnel'...

re Photographers at Lynford. I have seen some crouched and sitting very still on low stools with only the absolute minimum of movement needed to take photos and birds not disturbed. Others have been leaning against the white container, camera on extended tripod two or three strides away and...

shoveller still in eclipse in January?

By chance, having seen this post on Saturday and been surprised that a male Shoveler was still in eclipse, I came across a similar male in Norfolk on Sunday- though there was more green starting to show on its head.

    Norfolk birding

Today at Blakeney Point there were many seal pups in the dunes. Only six were seen east of the start of the dunes on the Point -two of which were in a bad way while the others were well fed. Surprised that the total for pups at the Point was 1200 as I understood there were about 500 there two...
