    peanuts or sunflowers seeds

    Peanuts are only toyed with seemingly as a token gesture but still worth keeping out Mixed seed goes quickest with sunflower seed not far behind. Oats/fruit mix is also very popular. Nyger seed goes too and fat balls are always popular.

    Nyger seed?

    My nyger seed has been quite popular both with goldies and green finches. Last week in Nottingham I had 7 goldies on it at once bickering amongst themselves as there are not that many entry points.

    Meal worms

    I read somewhere to put potato slices in the mealworm bag to help them live longer- adds moisture. So I tried it - so far about 17 days and still wriggling and the mealworms nibble away at the spud.
