    Farne Islands

Thanks Dave. I might learn the hard way. It's already booked so I'm gonna have to take my chances and keep everything crossed!!

    Which Bunting?

Thank you. I'd looked in my RSPB book and thought it might be a Reed but wasn't sure. Thanks for the confirmation.

    Which Bunting?

Hi, I took this some time ago at Amwell in Hertfordshire but haven't identified it. I think it's a Bunting but does anyone know which? Thanks for your help Rick.

    Farne Islands

Thanks to you both. Martin - I'll be jotting this lot down before I go. I'm sure I'm going to want more time than I have there. Oh well, it'll be an excuse to go back!! I had heard that it is wise to wear a hat but Bongofury, I think I'd rather endure the pecking than wear a bobble hat!!!! :-)

    Missy's thread

No, I hadn't seen the news about Ceulan........very sad and only 6 months old too. Still although short, it seems a lot was learned about Ospreys from this little fella's life. So, artwork! Farne Islands

Hi, I'm heading up to the Farne islands June 17th to photograph Puffins, Razorbills et al. I already have an all day boat trip booked to the islands but any other advice on the local area and other wildlife to be seen would be welcome. Thanks Rick.

    Starling (Sturnus vulgaris)

On a visit to Stonehenge in Wiltshire there were lots of starlings scrounging for food around the visitors seating area, and being used to people, were quite willing to sit and pose.
