    Well said. And being said, I have both binoculars in addition to the Leica Ultravid HD. In order of my particular preference, if I had to choose, I'd rate the three in the following order: Leica HD Swarovski EL Zeiss FL Again, it's a personal preference, and all three are better than anyone...

    Where the ranges meet, it's my understanding that they can only adequately be told apart by their call (or DNA sequencing - very tricky in the field). Nevertheless, going out on the limb with Sibley in hand I'd say "Eastern".

    Joanne, the above is well worth considering, Just don't linger too long -- comparing top notch bins side by side can be an exercise in "what if" futility. If you do compare, keep it under an hour, if that, and go with your gut impression. Those will be the binoculars for you.
