    Yorkshire Birding

    Redkite watching the far side of Harewood again early Sunday afternoon, but light not brilliant. Bird tagged with number 6 seen amongst several others. One bird very obligingly landed in a field in front of me. Would agree with Lawts estimate of numbers.

    Had a couple of hours at Redhouse in the sunshine this afternoon with my new lens. Topped the feeders up a bit then managed to disturb a woodcock -I'm not sure who was the most surprised! Heard but didn't see GSW & ?barny. Plenty of chaffinches on the ground. Goldfinches, Siskins & Long...

    Spent an hour on saturday morning watching 9 red kites just off the A659 en route to Otley and further hour watching them in the afternoono:)
