    RSPB et al. Windfarm Petition

 :t: but at least there is an attempt to help with some input. Where are the other experts?

Latest News Bird Directive - Malta

Seems like a lot of talking, pen pushing and no action. Why make rules and then later ignore them? It makes a mockery of everything and costs a fortune for ineffective pieces of paper. Action, that's what matters. Implementation. Deborah4 is totally right in the windfarm thread and another...

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

And of Inverleiver and John M's experiences. Don't forget his experience with the RSPB stance. The locals and others were left all on their own to defend this site. Inverleiver was one of the sites which started this thread and the council found any development of Inverleiver unlawful.

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

As Mark Duchamp; Deborah4, Nirofo, Tyke, myself and many others feel, lets set up a Petition for a moratorium. David at Proact... is this something you can help us with especially in the light of the clickable link ban imposed on Mark? Can this be done so that not all names/signatures are...

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

and... from the article Generating the 458 million kilowatt-hours of wind power purchased by Whole Foods would require 109 32-story-high wind turbines roughly as tall as the Statue of Liberty. For the money spent buying the wind power energy credits for 458 million kilowatt-hours, Whole Foods...

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

I always believe in the principle of stating the source and date. This was previously pointed out to JT (previous post) when she quoted information which she had obtained from the nuclear industry. The information was incorrect and it was out of date thus misleading people. Nirofo posted...

And of Inverleiver and John M's experiences... where does his experience sit with your statement above?

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

I noticed this has happened elsewhere on birdforum without moderator comment. Grateful if you could confirm if this a birdforum rule for the windfarm thread and extirpation of Eagles thread only, or a rule for all posts on birdforum?

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

If you have read my earlier posts you will realise that I've said before that we've witnessed the previous mistakes with subsidies: the railways, the tree planting in the 80's and now this new fad - wind. Anything which is efficient with a low carbon footprint and doesn't scar the whole...

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

Are you advocating that we get rid of Trident and every other nuclear bomb too so that we can live in a risk free world? I'd like rid of them all but I am afraid The gennie is already out the bottle. We should stop stiffling other renewables. Carbon foot print and tax the polluters instead of...

The extirpation of eagles from Scotland (windfarms again)

There are rules which must be complied with. I've looked for them but can't easily find them.

    The B Cheek of it.

The Spawk looks a fine specimen. I can imagine the mayhem it caused for the little birds as soon as it appeared. Thanks for the photos. Hope the Spawk visits again.

With further turbines in the process for Brecon Beacons, I would be very interested in the answers to these questions too.
