8x32 EL or the new 8.5x42 “Legend”

go the 32's I have both the Swaros 8x25 CL and 8x32 SV. THe 25's only come with me if say if I am going to a theater/hike. Where discreetness and weight play a big factor... (mind you my housemate took my Zeiss Terras 42's in to a theatre once). The 32's offer a much bigger, cleaner picture...

    Swarovski repair comparision

there is a notch to lift it up. See attached. Whole saga, including shipping and GST to get it back into the country cost $150 usd... :( But I guess I had to do it, as after sea use I rinse the binos in water and the O-ring obviously can't seal as the plastic cover it is attached to is not...

    Swarovski repair comparision

MY ELs 32s diopter was not working sometimes, you could feel as if the know when pulled out was trying to catch the gear/cog but couldn't. I took off the top cover of the focus knob and found that the cover was not manufactured properly. It looks like the injection moulding did not completely...

    Binos for India

Hi, we only get to see that beautiful view once in our lives..... lucky if we can get to do it again. Take the chance and enjoy the beauty with an alpha..... Or the best you can afford. May be a Zeiss Victory 8x25 could be a good compromise. the memories will remain far longer then the lost...

    Your pick btw 8x32, 8x42, 8.5x42?

So I was in a similar position. I was tossing up between the 32 and 42 EL's. The 32 give away very little optically to the 42, and are in a smaller package. I hate hiking with the 42mm due to the bino harnesses cutting in to the shoulders. Also travelling with the 32mm allows easier packing...

Your pick, best bino harness you came to?

    Case for 10x42 EL Swarovision

http://www.badlandspacks.com/gear/optics/bino-c Silent (magnetic closures) and harness makes it a breeze if you are trekking across hard terrain. I also have the optech neoprene, https://www.adorama.com/otbirmn.html which I don't use trekking but just for storage as the Zeiss Tera 8x42 didn't...

    No more tiny 8X20!!

I used to use the Zeiss 8x20 victory which are better then the Leica. Not sure if you can find them anymore in Spain. But am now using the Swarovski 8x25 CL Pocket. Much easier to use.
