    Identification please

The map on Hummingbirds.net left out the province of British Columbia which is the most western province in Canada. Here is another migration map that shows the whole of Canada. Redstreak is in British Columbia I believe.

    Identification please

I'm familiar with Rufous hummingbirds and it looks like a female Rufous to me. It would be a pretty rare for a Ruby-throated to be in British Columbia I think.

Very nice. I hear and/or catch a glimpse of one of these at my cabin once in a while but haven't been able to get a photo yet.

    Rufous Hummingbird - male

Witnessed this guy trying to impress the female in my previous photo. He would fly 40 of 50 feet in the air then dive straight down at high speed pulling up just before the ground.

Both Robins and Waxwings are feeding off this Mountain Ash at the same time.

    American Robin

Has been a cool spring here so far with a couple of heavy wet snowfalls in the last week. The robins are having trouble finding food I think, making do with these dry berries on a Mountain Ash.

Not very good shots, these are heavily cropped. Not sure if this is the same bird, there was a pair flying overhead. The crows were harassing them as usual.

Taken at my cabin. Don't see them in the summer except at higher elevations.

    Black-capped Chickadee

Taken at my cabin this past weekend. Didn't take them long (along with the Mountain Chickadees) to show up after I filled the feeders.
