Stone curlews and pratincole as waders

Either the term 'shorebirds' or 'waders' were unfortunate choices for naming a large group of species in the Charadriiformes order. Evolutionally, they are all connected and that is what matters. Some of them diverged by specialising in feeding (e.g. Seedsnipes as seedeaters or Sheathbills as...

    Sci Hub

Authorities tried to block Sci-Hub many times, but somehow it always rises from ashes. I think the price journals try to charge for a paper is ridiculous. I have never had an author tuning down my paper requests so I don't really get this charging system.

    Potential Sand Plover-complex Split

There was another presentation about the potential split of the Sand Plover complex during the recent #ISTC20 – the first International Shorebird Twitter Conference. The suggested taxonomy is very exciting. :) Please read the thread here...

    Mid-price binoculars recommendation

Thanks. I used to use the Victory HT and I really liked it but is very rare to get one. I'm not a great fan of used stuff. I don't worry much about the FOV but more like the clarity, lack of or little chromatic aberration, and good light gathering capabilities. It seems a lot for the price...

    BDII XD Reviews

Do you mean you have the Kowa BD II 10x42 XD binos? I'm seriously considering buying it at that unbeatable price tag. My first choice would be the Vortex UHD but that is out of budget right now. :)
