Panasonic Lumix G1 at last - what a gem for digiscoping

Pentax K mount Micro 4/3 Adapter Hi Roy I have received my G1 and use the Kit Lens with an old Kowa TSN-4 with x20-60/TSN-DA1A , initially quite impressed (considering it was pouring with rain and shot through a bedroom window). I had Pentax M 50/1.7 with a K1000 and had good results on the...

    Manfrotto 701HDV Which Legs?

I'm updating my Velbron Sherpa head with the 701HDV, but I'm thinking why not go the whole way with a 55MF3 (Simon King's suggestion) this is not now available and wonder if the 190CXPRO legs would be an alternative. I only use this for my aging TSN5 scope (1.7Kgs)? I would appreciate any other...

Just got an FZ50, your advice is needed !!

Hi G I've an FZ50 and have used it with a Kowa TSN4. I always hand hold and never bother with an adapter (because I use either a Contax or Pentax K100 for digiscoping); some good pictures come along but all have very heavy vignetting and and you'll need some post photo software to cut and past...

    Blackbird Mortality

My brother inlaw, who lives in the town centre of Bungay Suffolk, asked me whether I knew how a blackbird, decapitated (head to one side) with only the breast meat taken came to its death. It was in a high walled garden, not too far from water meadows. He didn't think a fox/mink was able to...

    Identify please

Hi Please help me to identify this warbler, it had a Reed Warbler song, which I can upload. I am confused by the dark head, which has streaks running front to back. (Three digiscope shots plus one compact). Many thanks Tony D
